Canon: Tales of the Rays
Team/Partner: Team 1 with his best friend Marcus~
Blurb: Phantom is an angry clone who probably makes the top 20 list of Tales' Saddest Unethical Magiscience Experiments. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, when Phantom is sad he commits a lot of crimes. He's a nerd-shaped blob of trust issues and he's likely going to be suspicious of literally anyone and everyone, but if he weren't stressed and mad all the time he would just want to bury himself in books and magic research. His range runs from mean to just awkward, he makes bad decisions, and he's absolutely here to be enabled into more of them. Deep deep deep down he is a good(?) guy in the worst ways possible!


Looking for: For real, everything! If you have a character that is genuinely nice to him they will probably own his soul forever. And can then have him commit crimes for them. Mages and other nerds would give him a chance to geek out and he might briefly experience happiness, which he may or may not be allergic to. Negative CR is also welcome and very likely! Again, mess.
Offering: Snarky cynical commentary and magic/engineering expertise. Beneath the cynicism he has questionable amounts of common sense, so he can pretty easily be brought into shenanigans or be a very reactive target to pranks. Also if you want a mean guy who is also easy to make cry, I have great news.

While Idia's a -10 on the actual, like, social niceness, he would be happy to find someone that's a peer in terms of tech stuff (and have long, detailed conversations about the difference in their tech)

NERD BONDING HOURS LET'S GO!! Phantom doesn't have social... anything, anyway, so a kindred spirit sounds perfect for him. I think Rays tech is a little behind (they have magic cameras but not, like, internet or TV) so they should have a lot of ground to cover!

i dunno if luna's mentioned it or not but I do play rays (not that i can read most of it, but when has that ever stopped me) and also was in a game with Marcus last year, so i know what to expect re: phantom probably being at least aware of julius, in case that was a concern or anything.

im really excited to see how the crime boy does! :3c

OH WHEW I was just about to ask! Phantom, uh. has seen Julius very recently and would likely have Opinions about him, but I'm happy to handwave around that if it would be easier!

...hopefully he will be doing fewer crimes here but also I make no promises.

i am definitely more than fine with leaving it in! just so long as I know there's a Problem™ going in, that's more than enough for me. luckily the tales I'm playing is obviously very familiar with alternate reality selves, so..... its fine.......... probably..... hahahahaaaa........
