I've apologized for eavesdropping into important meetings! And I apologized for mistaking a toy knife with an ancient cursed relic left behind by Jack the Ripper. And other stuff, too.

The Professor was mad and he lectures me a lot. Sometimes he gives me extra homework. But that's how I know that he forgave me.

Oh, that's right! Lots of people don't tolerate me, and it's alright if they don't.

But, because I found people that do tolerate me and accept me, I don't care if there's people that don't. I mean, it'd be great if we could all be friends and work together, but that's not always going to happen. So I don't see why I'd get upset over it.

I'm sure they'll understand, we just have to explain it to them.

I agree. If this works out, we'll automatically exit the game without even having to rely on luck.

Also I would absolutely loathe to get out of this solely via being complacent and nice. I am, after all, decidedly not improving as a person.

Well, if we pass entirely by allying every single time when we play into the moral this game is doubtlessly meant to have: that cooperation is better, even defeating the short term desire for success at the cost of others.

Personally, I'd much rather have our end moral be that we are only out for ourselves.

Even if they don't accept my apology, the fact is that I'll have explained myself. That's the most important part.

Correct! We're the least injured and they're coming for us. Even if we both betray and get hurt, that means that they will be even more hurt than we would be.
