Character Name: Tamamori
Canon: Hashihime of the Old Book Town
Team/Partner: Team #7, partnering up with Kawase
Blurb: He's currently a failed student working on trying to get into university again, but actually spends most of his days lazing around and trying to become a writer and pretending to sell books. He's kind of a basketcase who only really puts effort into things he's interested in and forgets about everything else. No thoughts, head empty, living his best life. Tamamori is from Japan in 1922, towards the tail end of the Taisho Era -- an era of rapid modernization, interest in Western culture and new technologies, and burgeoning democracy and liberalism. This means that modern amenities like electricity, movies, and railways are still developing and interest in Western literature is seeing a boom. Basically, old-timey cheapazoid Japanese nerd who likes to pretend he's important; has a lot of interest in Western and metropolitan lit and customs. Noodle who could probably be blown over by a strong breeze but talks like he's 10 noodles.

PLEASE NOTE: Hashihime deals with some heavier topics, so I have an opt-out available for those who would rather not have that come up in threads! Please use freely. o/

Looking for: So many kinds. I'm open to positive, negative, everything in between. Give me a book club, give me people who know tech, give me people who don't know tech, give me people from outside Japan so he can pretend really hard he Knows About Foreign Countries (what are other dimensions), give me people from Japan for countrymen! Give me military-related people because he thinks the military is cool in an abstract sort of way. Oh, and he loves mysteries and horror and the supernatural and the weird. Give him non-humans, give him the ghostly and the otherworldly. Honestly I'm just here stretching my greedy palms at everyone, trust me, come at me, we'll make it work.

Offering: He is such a moocher. Unless the shady vibes are at 120% he can be tempted by anything from money to snack foods to favors to a nice story; in general he just likes seeing what others can do for him and will latch on to those he deems useful and/or easily swayed by puppy eyes. People who will praise his writing and/or him are welcome; people who want to bully him are also welcome, his ego is huge and easily bruised and he squawks like an angry rooster at most provocations. If you get close enough to him you just might end up as inspiration for a story or two. Also, he gets along surprisingly well with those younger than him -- he's "young at heart" which just means he's immature and really likes messing around. Also he's a ye olde what the fuck is an Internet.

As an aside, he will definitely be curious about those interacting with Kawase and potentially flabbergasted if anyone actually gets along with the guy. Means the end of times is nigh.
