There might be more in the attic. It looked like the part I went up into had been walled off away from the rest of it. We'd have to destroy the walls to get at it, but between the two of us I don't think that's gonna be a problem.
It's weird, though. I found a whole lot of stuff in boxes, but it was all just clothes and regular everyday stuff. People normally like to store things like keepsakes in attics, right? I didn't find a single thing like that up there.
I don't think we're dealing with an ordinary person at all. The handwritten books in the room were in binary to begin with, and the record books didn't show any purchases of food. If this place were simply abandoned there might still be staples left behind, but it seems over the course of two years the owner never needed to buy any to begin with.
[Maybe it was provided externally and wasn't part of the records, but like... rent and not food? Marcus is the expert at balancing the books, not Phantom, but that sounds incorrect to him.]

[ Which probably means the one that Phantom has is the one with two on it... nod nod. ]
There was also another one of those clay bird whistles, an empty heart locket, and a picture of a bird with a note on the back.
[ He'll show them the picture with the "hello" on the back, in the same handwriting that they've been seeing all night.
And then also the shears, but that seems obvious enough. ]

[Like, surely there would at least have been something there otherwise, right?]

[Kind of looking a little bit bemused at the object collection they've acquired... at least there are shears?]
...I suppose those should be enough for the two of you to get through the attic wall.
[If Xingqiu could manage with a rolling pin, surely the muscle can do as much.]

[ Like he gets why they both don't care, but like. Gentle reminder. ]
