She begins leading them towards a smaller tent, tutting.]
You're the main event. All you need to do is what's asked of you, and the show will go off without a hitch.
[She glances back as she pulls open the flap keeping the tent closed. There's a vanity with a mirror someone placed, covered in makeup perfect for clowning around, and there are some costumes hanging from a rack. There's also a couple of wigs, to complete the look.]
You can ignore those other guys. They're not ready yet, but they will be in time for the big show. This is just a dress rehearsal.
[Oh this can't end well, can it. Herlock Sholmes eyes the make-up too. Alright, looks like he doesn't have any further questions. Nothing to do but go with the current for the time being, he thinks]
Miach at least wants to see what the show is about so she'll pick the clown outfit that is the most in whites and blues and paint a blue tear under her eye. IS THAT GOOD ENOUGH... ]
[Sholmes, somehow, decides to eye the many options and choose the most aesthetically pleasing. Apparently he's taking the costume part pretty seriously, going for a clown outfit completely unlike his usual clothes. It's a lot of green and stripes, making him look leaner than he is. On his face he paints a friendly smile, and turns to Miach]
It's been a while since I had to disguise myself for anything! Dyeing my hair does not count as a disguise.
[He seems pretty excited about the costuming. Looks like he's ready]
[The clown looks disappointed, but Miach is Trying more than not at all, so. Good enough.
She nods once they’re both ready, before opening a flap in the back of the tent. All the better to reach the big top without people seeing the performers too soon!]
You’re almost ready. Just remember - the real show is yet to come, and the ring master isn’t as forgiving as I am.
[She stops just outside of the largest tent, looking back at Miach and Herlock expectantly.]
[ Miach thinks that maybe it's a good thing she's got a lot of experience in being put through exercises that she absolutely despises doing. This is humiliating, sure, but considering how often she's been robbed of her dignity before, she can handle it fine.
The clown pulls open the tent, stepping aside to let them through. It's almost pitch black inside the tent - all they can see is who must be the ringmaster illuminated in spotlights, while everything else is obscured with shadows.]
Don't fuck it up. You might not like where you end up if you do.
[Which clearly isn't an ominous statement or anything!
Still, all they have left to do is step forward... surely they can find their way to the stage in the dark? Any hesitation will get the clown shoving at their backs, but once they pass the threshold the spotlights swivel, illuminating them. The lights are so bright you have to blink -
And when the light fades, you're standing in the campus courtyard.

Outwardly, she stays silent and instead moves to examine the costumes. All clown stuff? ]

We'll do what we do best, madam.
[Oh my god he really is returning to a circus like the clown he is, you totally did that on purpose, mods, I see you]

It's all clown stuff! So much clown stuff. There are even red noses to wear, if they're feeling a bit feisty.
Also, despite being a clown, the woman gives off an air of being supremely disappointed.]
We don't want you to do your best. We want to see if you can do what is asked from you, even if it's something you hate.
[She puts her hands on her hips. Somehow it feels like this isn't just about a performance...]
If you can't do that, you'll need to be replaced.

You know, it's almost pleasant to be replaceable for a change.
[ Not a precious resource to be protected at all cost but instead something inconvenient that can just be done away with.
Miach gets the distinct feeling that backing out of this tent is not going to go over well either, so she'll just eye the make-up. ]
Do we have to dress up?

I want to see you dress up. So, yes, this time you have to, unless you already want to fail?
[Time is ticking, friends. The clown seems to be getting more and more impatient.]

Break a leg.
[ Let's go! ]

Still dressed like a clown.]
